Want to hear some good storytellers, have a drink or two, and eat one of the best burgers in town?
Spend your evening at The Moth StorySLAM next Tuesday, Sept. 25 at Headliners Music Hall.
A story slam is similar to a poetry slam. Folks put their name in a box for a chance to tell the audience a true story pertaining to the topic of the evening. Next week’s topic is Unintended.
The Moth StorySLAM takes place on the last Tuesday of every month. This month’s Moth will be extra special because Grind food truck will be parked outside Headliners from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Liz Huot, who runs Grind with her husband, Jesse, said they will develop a special burger just for the story slam. A grand slam, perhaps?
Full disclosure, I’ve volunteered at the merchandise table for several months, and I’m friends with the producer of the show, Tara Anderson. I always have a good time listening to the often surprising stories regular people tell. I even told a story once.
