Let’s give two snaps to the Louisville Free Public Library for embracing technology and teaching the people of Jefferson County some new skills.
First, there was the technology boot camp. Then, the library began offering e-books for readers to check out (my mom, a new Kindle Fire owner and library patron, is thrilled). Now, the library will host a monthly forum and discussion called Your Social [Media] Life for social media fans and professionals to talk about the topic.
I’m happy to be a part of the first Your Social [Media] Life discussion which takes place at 6 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 1, at the library’s main branch downtown. Other folks on the panel are:
- Michelle Jones, Consuming Louisville
- Brian Tucker, The Valley Report
- Gathan Borden, Convention and Visitors Bureau
We are going to discuss our personal social media policies, so this will be interesting. The event is free, so come on down after work with some questions. We’d love to see you there.
