Sample the city’s culinary best at Taste of Louisville, Oct. 17

I’m a fan of one-stop shopping, especially when food is involved.

The Taste of Louisville, which takes place from 6-9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, offers the chance to sample a lot of Louisville restaurants (and a few national chains) in one place — the Mellwood Arts Center.

Restaurants, beverage companies (including the adult kind!) and catering businesses will set up booths and dispense samples to attendees. A complete list of participants is here, but take a peek at some of the businesses scheduled to attend:

  • Bristol Bar and Grille
  • The Brown Hotel
  • Maker’s Mark
  • Blue Bell Creamery
  • Boombozz Pizza
  • Lynn’s Paradise Café
  • Mark’s Feed Store
  • Kentucky Ale
Regular tickets are $55, and VIP tickets are $75. You can buy them here. Proceeds will benefit Community Health Charities. Price a little steep? Here’s my advice: eat as many of those little samples as possible. Seriously. Last time I was at one of these types of events, I made a meal from cheese balls and the like. GOOD TIMES.
